Charice Talks to Balitang America About “Glee”

NEW YORK - Now that Charice Pempengco confirmed that she will join the most talented Glee club of Mckinley High in a recurring guest role in “Glee” Season 2, she was able to talk to Balitang America about how she felt about it.
Charice was in Germany wrapping up her European CD release tour when she talked to Balitang America via Skype on Tuesday night.   She said she kept her expectations low during the audition so as not get disappointed.
International singer, Charice Pempengco said, “Hindi nga po ako makapaniwala, hindi nga po ako makatulog nung isang araw, yun nga po nung lumabas kasi yung rumor, si mommy po yung nagsuggest kay marc po, siya po yung nagsabi na marc bakit hindi mo ipasok si Charice sa Glee, bakit hindi natin I-try kasi total marami naman pong nagpu-push na I-try ko po ganun, so nag-audition po ako (giggles) (nag-audition po ako pero hindi po kami nag-expect na makakapasa ako, kaya nagulat na lang po ako na nilabas po ng Glee na yun nga po kasama na po ako, hindi po nila kami inemail na nakapasa ako or what nakita ko na lang po nagemail na lang po sila sa akin, sabi nila congratulations daw po….”
But, to her surprise, she got an email from “Glee” officials congratulating their newest “Glee” star.
“Hindi pa rin po ako makapaniwala, yun nga po nung lumabas sa news hindi po ako makapaniwala na talagang super super super na-prove po sa akin na sobrang laki nung show, as in parang lumabas sa fox na kasama ako sa Glee, nasa yahoo page ako, kung saang saang mga billboard po nilabas din so parang sabi ko parang grabe, ganito pala kalaki yun, (ganun po talaga ka-big deal sa kanila like yung pag may new artist na mapasama po hindi po ako makapaniwala pero super happy po ako,” she said.
But in the meantime, Charice was told to keep her new role in “Glee” low key until the details of her appearances are ironed out.
“Actually po kasi ang sabi po nila, parang wala pa daw po akong puwedeng sabihin about yung details po about sa mga role ko po and all that, ang gusto lang po na sabihin ko is confirmed po na lalabas po ako sa Glee po multiple times…” added Charice.
There is no stopping Charice’s international stardom, after her successful CD releases in Asia, Europe and North America.  Her single “Pyramid” is hitting the top charts. Charice says she is ready to record another pop single.
“Siyempre po right now, since na release na po ang Pyramid, and medyo marami na po siyang achievement na natanggap, naghahanap nap o kami ng second single, and ahm which is talagang pinaplano po naming talaga na mas dance, mas mabilis sa Pyramid kasi talagang napapansin namin na yun po talaga yung hit right now so yun po yung hinahanap namin and of course yun po focus po kami sa schedule about sa Glee po…”
Charice, together with 24 other Billboard top stars, including Christina Aguilera, Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber and Jason Derulo, were included in the “Top 25 Artists Remember Michael Jackson” video released by Billboard on Tuesday. It’s a video tribute to the king of pop’s one-year anniversary of his death.
Charice is on her way back to the U.S.  to do some more CD release events before heading back to the Philippines.  She will perform at President Noynoy Aquino’s inauguration on June 30.
